USAGE AND COMPATIBILITY

Common
questions.

Browser features and requirements.
Open Bloctric

Is the browser app free?

Yes. You can edit models, run simulations, use the built-in examples and export source code without an account or installation.

Where do my models and simulations run?

The free browser app processes your models and runs simulations on your device. Models you open are not uploaded to a simulation server. Save or export your work to keep a file you can reopen.

Can I use existing Simulink models?

Bloctric reads and writes .slx files for supported blocks and features. Import reports identify unsupported or unmapped blocks; compatibility is not complete. Check the report and validate the model's behaviour after import.

What is different in the desktop app?

The browser edition includes local WASM simulation and C/C++/Go source export. This hosted version does not include the optional C compiler for compiled browser execution. Desktop builds provide native execution and additional platform integrations.

Can I work offline?

After opening the app online and allowing its offline cache to finish downloading, you can reopen it at /app/ without a connection. Keep exported copies of your models, since browsers can clear stored data.
